Deep Sea Fish

Deep Sea Fish appears to emerge from a region of the ocean where sunlight never reaches. The first striking element is its palette of acid yellows, oxidized greens, and dark metals, immediately recalling the world of abyssal creatures. The luminous lure rising above the head becomes the artwork’s defining symbol: a signal in the darkness, a guide within an unknown environment.
A closer look reveals a complex layering of materials. Driftwood runs through the sculpture as a natural backbone, surrounded by metal plates, gears, mesh, cables and mechanical components. Every element preserves traces of its former life while gaining a new role within this imaginary creature.
The head is the most expressive area: the dark eye, sharp metallic teeth, and biomechanical overlays create a face that communicates both strength and mystery. From afar, the sculpture presents a compact and aggressive silhouette; up close, details resemble circuits, armor and technological structures.
Through creative recycling, industrial materials once destined for disposal are transformed into an organism that seems to come from a distant future or an unexplored ocean. Deep Sea Fish reflects on the ability of matter to evolve and on the thin boundary separating the natural world from human imagination.
